‘In This Industry, You Would Need Connections In Order To Make It’

Young Ghanaian musician, Nautyca has indicated that for an individual to succeed in the Ghanaian music industry, he or she should have connections.

He made this known in a recent interview he had on the popular Ghanaian radio station, Hitz FM when he spoke with Andy Dosty on Friday.

In his submission, he said;

“I have about 6 singles to my credit now. I used to be a rapper. We all know singing songs blow bigger than the rap songs.

I believe I still have some works to do — You’d meet some people who’d add value to your brand and others who take some value from your brand.

In this industry, you’d need connections in order to make it. I am yet to meet the right people in this industry.

Since we are up and coming artistes in Tema, I feel we should get support from the mainstream artistes from the city. However, you still have to try and do things on your own and for yourself.

I have gone to shows that I wasn’t able to perform because my manager wasn’t around to coordinate stuff —and around those times, he was with Sarkodie recording. I spoke about it and @possigee, (my former manager) took it the other way round.”

“Odoi Will Regret If He Leaves England To Play For Ghana”-Charles Taylor Warns

Odoi amid his recent visit to Ghana after his club won the UEFA Cup hinted at a possible flip of allegiances by meeting with Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo, Ghana Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, and Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku.

In view of that, Charles Taylor has urged Odoi not to accept the offer to pay for Ghana and focus on playing for England.

Speaking on Angle TV, Charles Taylor said; “If Odoi is listening to me, I will advise him not to think of playing for the Black Stars. He should continue playing for England even if it is under 100, he should play for them than to play for the Black Stars. Ghana is ending its career,”.

Hudson-Odoi will be eligible to transfer allegiance to Ghana in November next year if he does not add to his existing three caps for England, according to Fifa’s new eligibility criteria.

He’d have to wait until next year to shift clubs due to laws that say a player with a senior cap for one country must wait three years after his last international appearance before changing clubs.

“I think obviously when you’re young, you have the opportunity to play for England throughout all the years, from under 15 to under 16 all the way up,” the winger said earlier this month about his international future.

“When they obviously gave me the opportunity to come I was in the country already. It’s something that I already had in my mind, set on already playing for England.”

“So it was the thing obviously choosing Ghana or England, and at the end of the day, I said I always had the right people around me who always advise me – what’s right, what’s wrong. England came and I said ‘Yeah, let me go and play for my country.

“But I said ‘Ghana is my home as well’, so we’ll see, we’ll see. You’ll never know, so.”

Meanwhile, other Ghanaians have also shared the same sentiments with Charles Taylor, urging Odoi to continue his football career with England.
