‘Govt Set To Invite Gay Foreigner to Host A Program But Gay Activists In Ghana Have Been Locked Up At Ho’- Lydia Forson

Outspoken Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson is fuming about the gross discrimination and witch-hunting against the LGBTQI+ community in Ghana.

The filmmaker in a new post she published on her Facebook account revealed the government of Ghana under the stewardship of Nana Akufo Addo is set to invite a foreigner who is a homosexual into the country to speak on issues relating to the creative arts industry yet gay activists in Ghana have been locked up in Ho without any bail for over a week now.

Lydia posted;

Incase you don’t know; Your government is hosting a well known gay man to speak on the creative arts, he will be given a kings welcome and treated like a star. But 21 LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 activists are locked up in Ho for weeks without bail.

I keep telling you that in Ghana the more money you have, proximity to power and the passport you hold will determine the rights you enjoy. When you pray, add privilege to it- it’s the only way you will survive anything here.

Ghanaians, as usual, got inflamed by this very topic they abhor characteristically, they sprouted to disagree with Lydia on her posture.

See samples of the comments below;

@Radnor Asafo Adjei: But wait oooo, so you know he is gay, I don’t know he is gay and he will be speaking on creative arts not LGBTQ activism. How does that play out here?? I equally have my own reservations about how we treat the LGBTQ community in Ghana but this your analogy de3 I bet to differ.

@ HardBody Hardway: What did you said? He will be speaking on creative arts but not Gay arts. There is difference between talking about Teaching Of Gay and talking about creative arts. Madam don’t get confused on this topic. He can be gay but as long as he is not going to teach people on how to do gay and lesbian we don’t have any issues with whoever that person is. Unless You will tell me they have Banned any gay people from coming into the country. Thanks You

@ Kelvin Danquah: who is he the gay person

Iwo Road: Police arrest suspects, gunmen kill three in Ibadan

Oyo State Police Command on Monday paraded three suspects arrested in connection with last Wednesday’s mayhem at Iwo Road, Ibadan, the state capital.

The suspects are officials of Park Management System, which runs the affairs of motor parks in the state since Governor Seyi Makinde proscribed the state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers and established the PMS.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Ngozi Onadeko, while briefing journalists, said the suspects were arrested because of their alleged involvement in the mayhem.

The CP said, ‘Investigation is still ongoing, I will continue to update you about what we get from the investigation.”

Speaking on the increasing insecurity in the state capital, the CP stated that the police were working round the clock to curb this. She also appealed to members of the public to support security agencies to achieve this.

One of the suspects, Omoniyi Elemo, told journalists that he did not attack anybody but claimed that he was attacked and injured by some of the phone dealers.

He stated that the police arrested him at the hospital where he was taken to for treatment, saying he knew nothing about the clash.

He said he was working at Iwo Road as an official of the PMS and on the fateful day, he approached a motorist who wanted to park on the road. He said he told him not to obstruct the way but the driver said he had no right to instruct him where to or not to park.

Elemo said as he was trying to explain to the driver, some boys came out from the Iwo Road Shopping Complex and started beating him. He added that one of the boys injured him on the face with a stone and he was taken to hospital from where he was arrested by the police.

Meanwhile, gunmen on a motorcycle reportedly invaded Iyana Court, Ile Titun area in Ibadan South-East Local Government Area of Ibadan and killed three persons.

Bank Staff Converge At Senator Andy Uba’s House In Abuja To Demand Payment Of Loan He Owes (VIDEO)

Over 20 Heritage Bank Plc employees raided Senator Andy Uba’s Abuja home today, June 21, to demand that he repay the bank the loan he owes. Senator Andy Uba represents the Anambra South Senatorial District in the Senate.

Workers wearing trademark T-shirts and Jean trousers were seen assembled in front of Uba’s residence in protest, banners in hand, in a video uploaded online.

A voice in the video indicated they were Heritage Bank employees who had come to the Senator’s house to put pressure on him to repay his loans after many attempts had failed. They said they felt obligated to act because their jobs were on the line, and that if the loans were not repaid, they would lose their employment.

The voice said:

“Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today is Monday, the 21st day of June 2021, and we have here the staff members of Heritage Bank Pl, Abuja. We are in front of Senator Andy Uba’s house in Abuja.

Senator Uba has been owing the bank for a couple of years now and we are here for a peaceful meeting with him, very peaceful meeting. To ask him to kindly repay those loans because they are depositors’ funds.
Those monies, if they are not repaid, will throw the number of the people you see here, with their families out of work ad we know the situation of the economy now. If this number of people are thrown out of work, you know what it means.

So we are here to appeal to the Distinguished Senator to kindly pay this money so that these people will not lose their job…”

The senator is yet to react to this development.

Dark and Lovely has always focused on providing quality hair products for the Nigeria Market. The haircare brand has launched a new product called DARK AND Lovely Ultra Cholesterol Deep Conditioning Treatment.

Unlike finishing rinses or cream rinses conditioners that are rinsed out after they are worked through the hair for detangling, Deep conditioning treatments like DARK and LOVELY ULTRA CHOLESTEROL are more deeply penetrating formulas that are left on the hair for just five minutes (sometimes being capped and placed under the heat of a dryer to speed penetration). With DARK and LOVELY ULTRA CHOLESTEROL, damaged hair gets fixed in five minutes and becomes two times less susceptible to breakage in just one usage.

Dark and Lovely Ultra Cholesterol Intensive Treatment is specially designed by our African hair experts to deliver intensive protein treatment and intensive conditioning treatment for your hair. Specially formulated with Cholesterol and Castor Oil to nourish and repair damaged and dry hair.

DARK and LOVELY ULTRA CHOLESTEROL conditioning formulas include ingredients to restore proteins and moisture to the hair. The protein level of this product is designed to gently swell the hair, allowing it to pass through the cuticle of the hair shaft and replenish the proteins in the cortex. This deep conditioning treatment is especially good for chronically dry hair because of the full penetration of the moisture and protein agents in the product, as well as ingredients to smooth the cuticle and seal in the moisture that has been added. It also restores the strength and elasticity of the hair. It treats specific hair issues; if you have severely dry hair, this deep conditioner can restore softness and moisture.
